Hello from Shige
I grew up in the suburbs of Tokyo, where I was overwhelmingly exposed to the stimulation of anime, manga, subcultures, western culture, and music. I came to Los Angeles in 2002. And I was engaged and inspired by motion graphics and spent years of my creative life on the front lines of broadcast design, film, and music video production.
Within my 14 years of post-production career, I've been blessed with countless emerging opportunities and wonderful people that have put me on the cutting edge of motion mediums, honed my skills in 2D and 3D design and motion, and led me to a new challenge at a giant social media company in 2017.
My creative approach—Clarify the message to be conveyed through design solutions and find the best way to solve people and experience problems through appropriate digital experiences that invite discoveries and delight.
For me, movement, color, materials, narrative, and space are all ingredients for proper design solutions. And design problems are only solved when people find a clear connection to the experience through delights or discovery.
